What is Nifty?


Nifty is a virtual assistant and outsourcing firm providing marketing, client servicing, and paraplanning support for U.S. based independent Registered Investment Advisors.




Which systems does Nifty provide?


Nifty provides each advisor with a few systems to ensure communication is reliable and transparent during their engagement with the Nifty team. All other systems are dependent on the advisor and are stored via LastPass.




What do you do with my client's information?


Absolutely nothing. Client information and paperwork is not stored on personal computers and our internal systems are securely cloud-based. We also conduct semi-annual cybersecurity audits with each team member to ensure the continued safety and security of information.




How do payments work?


For our retainer-based services, we require a minimum of 12 hours per month which is automatically billed via credit/debit card on the 1st of every month. Unused hours do not roll over from month-to-month. In the event you exceed your retainer hours for the month, you will receive a separate invoice for the excess at the end of the month that is due within 7 days upon receipt.

What happens when I cancel my contract?


Nifty requires at least 30 days in advance of cancelling service which will take affect 30 days after the last billing period. A new rate will be applied if you ever decide to return to Nifty. There is also no guarantee that you will be paired with the same dedicated contact/team member.




Where are you located?


We are headquartered in Maryland, but our team is dispersed throughout the United States.




Is Nifty client-facing? Can you communicate with clients?


If you wish to white-label your assistant and have Nifty communicate with clients, you must be on a retainer model. Due to the nature of the work, we do not define ourselves as a receptionist service and do not cover the phones for advisors. Reasonable phone time is acceptable, but we do not contact clients outside of normal business hours (9am-5pm EST).




Who will be my VA?


At Nifty, teamwork makes the dream work. Each advisor is partnered with a dedicated contact person for each department depending on the advisor's needs. Each advisor works with 1-3 team members depending on the team member's specific skill set. Each Nifty team member is subject to sign an NDA and must pass a full background check prior to joining Nifty. Any additional background checks are at the expense of the advisor.




What is a "VA" or a "Virtual Assistant"?


Many people have different interpretations of a Virtual Assistant (VA). In the world of virtual assistance, every Virtual Assistant offers a different set of skills and years of experience. There are many arguments that the term "virtual assistant" is NOT a role, but it is instead an industry. Any remote position that supports another role can be considered virtual assistance.




Is Nifty affiliated with any companies?


No, we are independently managed and funded. Nifty Advisor Support is not affiliated with any RIA, custodian, or investor.
